It's always the details!

To make a model steamboat really come to life the modeller
should pay some attention to the details seen on deck!

We've covered the basics of handrails and guardrails. But ...
there is so much more!

Fortunately we have modelled our boat 1:48 .... so what?

Well, to begin with, this is O scale in model railroading!

Or, more correctly Proto 48. All animals, people, doors and
windows, light fixtures, ... everything available for O scale
model railroding can be used. This can get expensive,
however, a few items can add alot!

Details include people, deck chairs, fire fighting
equipment(water barrels) axes, ropes(lines), rigging, wood
piles, interior lighting, flags, antlers, bells, whistles,
calliope, lettering, ... the list is endless..!

Use your imagination ... and refer to photographs of real
boats ... a good running boat is rewarding, a good looking
boat is a real joy!
